Despite having an expansive garden, the existing decked area at Beech Cottage was tired and outdated. As an alternative to costly renovation, the old decking was removed and Millboard Enhanced Grain in Smoked Oak was selected, transforming the space into a liveable outdoor area for family and friends to enjoy.
Looking out from the French windows at the rear of the property, the newly installed decking provides a perfectly framed view of the pergola at the bottom of the garden.
Maximising the available space, the 100m² raised decking area wraps around the side and rear of the property, providing plenty of room for relaxation. The design style of this new space continues seamlessly into the garden by minimising the number of materials used and maintaining a simple colour palette. Square edging provides a clean finish to the steps that descend onto the lawns – a feature that is perfectly at home in both modern and traditional settings.
The garden has been transformed into a space for relaxing and entertaining, complete with a large barbecue and dining area.
The Millboard decking provides an attractive surface on which the owners can entertain guests, spend time with their children, or simply relax.
"We’re extremely happy with the finished installation and quality of our new deck. Not only does it look fantastic, but it’s easy to clean and a great surface for our kids to play on."
